Halloween has been and gone and it’s now time to start thinking of jingle bells, mulled wine and cosy fires.
Now this isn’t a hint to my family and friends (ok, maybe it is just a little), but I wanted to put a list together (including some of my favourites) of the Christmas gifts that will help you choose the perfect present for your runner friend.
£0 – £29.99
Runr Pom Pom Hats – £11.95-£12.95 – https://www.runr.co.uk/collections/pom-pom
Who doesn’t love a bobble hat? They’re also bringing out some amazing new colours soon!
Nudge Jewellery – £10-£35 – http://gymgems.bigcartel.com/
These motivational wraps and lace tags provide the ideal motivational boost mid-run. You can create your own message meaning you can be with your friend for their whole race/run.
Chilly’s Water Bottle – £25 – https://www.chillysbottles.com/product/bottle/500ml/1430780870726/
I am totally obsessed with mine – Chilly’s bottles keep your water cold for up to 24 hours, great to use pre or post-run in the fight to reduce the use of plastic.
Spibeams LED Visor – £29.99 – https://spibelt.com/shop/accessories/spibeams-led-visor/
I’ve seen many on Instagram trying these out lately and I LOVE them. I don’t particularly like head torches (they never stay in place) and this visor combines lighting with a comfortable head piece – as well as another light on the back!
£30 – £49.99
Race entry – MK Marathon Weekend – £34/46 – http://mkmarathon.com/enter-events/
The MK Marathon weekend takes place on the first bank holiday weekend in May … as an ambassador for the event I couldn’t not add it to my gift list! Why not enter the both of you, start training from January and you’ll be in great shape to run in May. There’s marathon and a half marathon option for those who want to choose their distance with a medal AND a t-shirt at the finish line. For 15% off use the code – MKAMBVIP8641.
Tikiboo Leggings – £35.99 – https://www.tikiboo.co.uk/collections/leggings
These patterned leggings come in SO many different colours, patterns and characters, you’ll be able to find a pair that matches your friends personality – you can also find matching sports bra’s and tops.
Aftershockz Wireless Headphones – Trekz Titanium £99.99 – https://aftershokz.co.uk/collections/wireless
With earbuds and headphones now banned at EA registered road races these bone-conducting headphones mean that your music-loving friend can safely listen to music on-the-run while being aware of everything around them.
Pulse Roll – Peanut Ball – £89.99 – https://pulseroll.com/product/pulseroll/
Now matter how much we hate it we all have to do it and if we can get some help, we’ll take it.
Running Shoes – £100+ – https://www.runnersneed.com/
It’s not always about how much we spend on trainers but they are so important to us. Treat your friend to getting their GAIT analysed and picking the perfect pair of trainers for them.
Fitbit Ionic – £279.99 – https://www.fitbit.com/uk/ionic
I LOVE the Ionic, having been a fan of the Charge HR and Charge 2 previously. It does everything I need it to do, including tracking my runs through GPS, my steps and heart rate throughout the day and is waterproof so can be taken swimming (I fell foul to a non-waterproof Fitbit with the Charge HR). Warning though – you may become bored of your friend showing you all of their tracked runs!
All prices correct as of October 2018. In the mist of transparency I was selected as an ambassador for MK Marathon Weekend, I was also invited by Fitbit to a Race, Ready Run event where I was gifted a Adidas Fitbit Ionic, there were no obligations to include either in this post. All other brands are those that I love and have purchased myself or are on my personal wish list because I have heard great things off others.
